Former Adiala Jail Superintendent Abdul Ghafoor Anjum arranged a total of 25 medical checkups for PTI founder Imran Khan over a period of one and a half years, according to documented details.
Records show that on August 29, 2025, Imran Khan was examined for the first time by Dr. Arif, head of the Ophthalmology Department at PIMS, after he complained of reduced eyesight. Following that initial examination, medical evaluations continued, and his eyes were examined twice again in January to monitor his condition closely.
Sources further stated that on January 16, the day Abdul Ghafoor Anjum relinquished charge as superintendent of Adiala Jail, a three-member medical team from PIMS conducted another comprehensive medical examination of the PTI founder.
These details have surfaced at a time when PTI leaders have been expressing concerns about Imran Khan’s health and alleging negligence on the part of the former jail superintendent regarding medical care.
