Amir Muqam, Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, said in his statement that he was coming from Swat to Islamabad and saw children, women, and patients in distress on the way who were stranded due to road closures.
He said that the state should take immediate and effective action, as ordinary citizens are facing severe hardship. According to him, due to the closure of the motorway, passengers are having to endure extraordinary hardships; many people are missing their flights, while patients are not able to reach the hospital on time.
Amir Muqam said that the IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa should register cases against such elements who are causing problems to the people. He demanded that action be taken against the workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf according to the law, and if there is a case of a prisoner, it should be fought in the courts. Why are ordinary citizens being punished?
