British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has expressed his desire for expanded powers to regulate online access to protect children from rapidly evolving digital threats, emphasizing the need for stronger oversight in the digital space.
According to a news agency, Starmer stated that as digital risks continue to evolve quickly, it is essential to update and align laws with technological advancements to ensure effective protection for children.
Reports indicate that the British government recently took action against Grok, and additional artificial intelligence chatbots may also be brought under restrictions, particularly concerning the creation of sexually explicit images.
According to the agency, these measures will be introduced as amendments to the crime and child protection legislation currently under consideration in Parliament to strengthen legal safeguards for children in the online environment.
