Iran has welcomed Saudi Arabia’s announcement that its territory will not be used for any military action against Iran, expressing appreciation for the statement.
Iran’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Alireza Enayati, said in remarks to a news agency that Tehran appreciates Riyadh’s clear stance that its airspace, maritime areas, and land territory will not be used against Iran.
The Iranian envoy stated that Saudi authorities have repeatedly assured that the kingdom’s air, sea, and land territories will not be used against the Islamic Republic of Iran, for which Tehran is grateful.
Reports indicate that even before the escalation of tensions in the region, Saudi Arabia had supported diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing tensions between Tehran and Washington. Saudi officials had also made it clear that their airspace would not be allowed to be used for any attack against Iran.
