The Pakistan Stock Exchange remained under the influence of tensions in the Middle East throughout the trading week, leading to fluctuations in the market as investors adopted a cautious approach.
By the end of the business week, the PSX 100 Index closed at 153,866 points after declining by a total of 3,629 points during the week.
According to market data, the index traded within a wide band of 14,505 points during the week, with the highest level recorded at 158,624 points.
Meanwhile, the lowest level of the index during the week was recorded at 144,119 points, reflecting significant volatility in the market.
During the week, a total of 2.25 billion shares were traded in the market with a combined value of approximately Rs132 billion.
Market capitalization also witnessed a significant decline during the week, decreasing by Rs369 billion to reach Rs17,329 billion.
