Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that he is satisfied with the performance of the Sindh government and the Mayor of Karachi, adding that development projects in the city will begin soon.
A meeting of the PPP parliamentary party was held under the chairmanship of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. President Asif Ali Zardari and First Lady Aseefa Bhutto Zardari also attended the session. The meeting reviewed the political situation and government performance.
During the meeting, President Asif Ali Zardari expressed confidence in the Chief Minister of Sindh and his cabinet and urged them to provide as much relief as possible to the public despite difficult circumstances.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari stated that he is satisfied with the performance of the Sindh government and the Mayor of Karachi. He said the PPP believes in solving problems rather than creating them.
Referring to the Gul Plaza tragedy, he said criticism of those who responded to the incident is difficult to understand and those involved in rescue efforts should be acknowledged.
Bilawal also said that Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab is unacceptable to some people because they do not want a PPP mayor in the provincial capital. He added that he is satisfied with the mayor’s performance.
He further stated that the Sindh government and the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation will respond to propaganda through their performance, and development work in Karachi will start soon.
