President of All Pakistan Small Traders and Cottage Industries Mahmood Hamid has urged the government not to increase petrol prices, stating that it would place additional burden on the already struggling business community.
In a statement, he said that traders and the Karachi Chamber should be taken into confidence before making any decisions regarding lockdowns so that the impact on business activities can be properly assessed.
Mahmood Hamid emphasized that industrial and commercial activities must continue, especially during times of conflict, and any planning should be done through consultation to avoid further economic damage.
