The price of milk in Karachi has been increased by Rs20 per liter, bringing the new rate to Rs240 per liter in the city.
According to an official notification, the revised prices have been implemented immediately, which is expected to add financial pressure on consumers.
The notification states that the price for dairy farmers has been set at Rs215 per liter, while the wholesale rate has been fixed at Rs225 per liter.
Authorities said the new pricing has been determined after consultations with stakeholders to maintain the supply chain.
