Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced free public transport across all cities of the province, eliminating the need for passengers to purchase tickets.
Under this decision, commuters on Orange Line Train, Metro Bus Service, Green Electric Bus, and Speedo Bus will be able to travel free of cost, providing immediate relief to the public.
The Chief Minister also announced a subsidy of Rs100 per liter of diesel per acre for farmers to reduce the burden of rising agricultural costs.
Maryam Nawaz stated that the government will not leave the public alone during difficult times and urged citizens to use public transport instead of private vehicles in extraordinary circumstances to conserve resources.
She added that the ongoing war has pushed the world into an economic crisis, and the government will take further steps to reduce the financial burden on citizens as conditions improve.
