The government has announced a one-month waiver of motorcycle transfer fees in Islamabad to facilitate citizens in availing fuel subsidies.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi stated that the transfer fee has been removed for one month under the Prime Minister’s public relief and subsidy initiative.
He said the decision will help citizens transfer ownership of their motorcycles more easily so they can benefit from the fuel subsidy.
Meanwhile, DG Excise Irfan Memon said that citizens can transfer motorcycles into their names at the Islamabad Excise Office without paying any fee.
He added that the excise office will remain open 24 hours a day for public convenience, and additional counters have been set up to handle the increased number of applicants.
