The spokesperson of the Sindh Health Department has confirmed the first dengue-related death in Karachi this year, with the case reported from District East, raising concerns at the city level.
According to the spokesperson, a total of 198 dengue cases have been reported across Sindh so far this year, including 163 cases in Karachi alone, indicating a significant spread of the disease in the city.
He further stated that 24 dengue cases have been reported from the Hyderabad Division, while cases are also emerging from other regions.
According to the spokesperson, 8 cases have been reported from Mirpurkhas Division and 3 from Sukkur Division, showing a widening spread of dengue across the province.
