Pakistan’s representative at the United Nations Security Council has confirmed that Lebanon was included in the ceasefire understanding between the United States and Iran.
Speaking at the Security Council, the Pakistani envoy stated that the agreement clearly included a provision for ending hostilities in Lebanon, making it an official part of the ceasefire.
He noted that any confusion regarding this matter is unnecessary, as Lebanon’s situation was explicitly addressed in the agreement.
The representative further said that he is not certain about how effectively the cessation of violence in Lebanon will be implemented, but emphasized that the clause was indeed part of the consensus.
This statement comes at a time when diplomatic efforts are ongoing to reduce regional tensions, and the international community is closely watching the implementation of the ceasefire.
