Pakistan Telecommunication Limited has announced scheduled maintenance for a major submarine cable, which may affect internet services across various parts of the country, particularly during evening hours.
According to the official statement, the repair work will begin on April 14 and continue until April 20, during which technical operations will be carried out in phases to fully resolve the fault in the cable.
PTCL stated that internet users may experience slow speeds or temporary disruptions during this period, especially in the evening due to higher usage, although the maintenance aims to ensure improved and stable service in the long run.
The repair work is being conducted with the assistance of an international cable consortium to restore the fault and maintain smooth global data traffic.
