The annual intermediate examinations for 11th and 12th grades have officially commenced in Karachi under the Board of Intermediate Education, with a large number of students participating and extensive arrangements made to ensure smooth conduct.
According to the Chairman of the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi, Faqir Muhammad Lakho, a total of 159,572 students are appearing in the first phase of exams, including pre-engineering, pre-medical, home economics, and general groups, with examination centers established across the city.
He stated that 103 examination centers have been set up for the morning shift and 42 for the evening shift, including 30 centers located in private colleges, while 21 centers have been declared sensitive to ensure enhanced monitoring.
To maintain transparency, 27 supervisory vigilance committees have been formed for the morning sessions, while the Controller of Examinations stated that a digital attendance system has been introduced to monitor the examination process effectively.
It was further stated that capturing images from the dispatch to the distribution of exam papers has been made mandatory, along with real-time monitoring, in order to prevent paper leaks and ensure transparency in the examination system.
