The Islamabad High Court has rejected a request to transfer the trial of TikToker Sana Yousaf’s murder case to another court, ordering that proceedings will continue in the current court to ensure continuity in the trial process.
The court directed Judge Afzal Majoka to proceed with the trial, while the decision was announced by Chief Justice Sarfraz Dogar on a petition filed by the accused, Umar Hayat.
The accused, Umar Hayat, had expressed a lack of confidence in the trial judge and requested that the case be shifted to another court; however, after hearing the arguments, the court dismissed the plea.
Following the ruling, further hearings in the case will continue in the same court, where the trial process will be carried forward to its conclusion.
