Britain’s King Charles III has emphasized the need for a strong and united global alliance to defend Ukraine, stating that the current situation requires a level of unity similar to what was witnessed after the 9/11 attacks.
Addressing the US Congress, he said that the partnership between Europe and the United States has become more important than ever, and democratic nations must adopt a collective approach to protect their people and ensure global stability.
He also condemned the attack at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, stating that such acts of violence can never succeed and cannot undermine democratic values.
King Charles further stated that unwavering commitment is required to defend Ukraine, as the ongoing war is not only a test for Ukraine but also for NATO’s resolve, making it essential for the Western alliance to remain intact.
He added that achieving a real, fair, and lasting peace in Ukraine will require sustained international cooperation and unity to ensure long-term stability in the region.
