Pakistan Peoples Party is expected to seek the support of independent lawmakers to form the next government in Gilgit-Baltistan after emerging as the largest political party in the regional elections.
According to reports, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is likely to visit Gilgit-Baltistan in the coming days to hold consultations regarding government formation.
Sources indicate that the PPP is considering an alliance with independently elected members to secure a stable majority in the assembly.
Commenting on the situation, PPP Information Secretary Nadeem Afzal Chan said no final decision has been taken yet, but the party will make efforts to bring independent winners on board.
The Pakistan Peoples Party secured the highest number of seats in the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly elections, positioning itself strongly for government formation.
