The FIFA World Cup celebrations officially began in Mexico City with a colorful opening ceremony attended by football officials and representatives from around the world.
According to media reports, a two-member delegation from the Pakistan Football Federation, led by Syed Mohsen Gilani, represented Pakistan at the opening ceremony and official dinner.
Speaking at the event, Mexican officials said they were committed to delivering a memorable and successful tournament and would utilize all available resources to ensure a historic World Cup.
Meanwhile, FIFA President Gianni Infantino thanked the host nation for organizing an impressive opening ceremony and praised the preparations for the global event.
He also acknowledged the efforts of co-host nations United States and Canada for their contributions to the tournament arrangements.
On the sidelines of the event, the Pakistani delegation held meetings with officials from several football associations to discuss matters of mutual interest and future cooperation.
The discussions focused on football development, international collaboration and opportunities to strengthen Pakistan’s engagement with the global football community.
