Australia women’s national cricket team defeated England women’s cricket team by seven wickets to win the Women’s T20 World Cup for a record seventh time.
The final was played at Lord’s Cricket Ground, where Australia won the toss and elected to bowl first.
England scored 150 for four in their 20 overs. Captain Nat Sciver-Brunt played a responsible unbeaten knock of 58 from 52 balls.
Freya Kemp provided late acceleration, scoring an unbeaten 44 from 28 deliveries, including four fours and a six.
Australia successfully chased the 151-run target in 17.1 overs for the loss of three wickets.
Beth Mooney led the chase with an impressive 64 from 49 balls, while Phoebe Litchfield scored 48 from 35 deliveries.
The victory secured Australia’s seventh Women’s T20 World Cup title.
