China’s Foreign Ministry says a building belonging to a Chinese company in Kuwait was damaged during an Iranian attack, although no Chinese citizens were harmed in the incident.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning told a media briefing that Beijing had urged Kuwaiti authorities to take effective measures to ensure the safety of Chinese citizens and institutions operating in the country.
According to the spokesperson, China is closely monitoring the situation and considers the safety of its citizens abroad a top priority.
She added that all Chinese nationals in Kuwait remain safe and that Chinese officials are maintaining close contact with the relevant authorities to ensure their protection.
According to Reuters, China has called on Kuwait to take all necessary measures to safeguard Chinese citizens and their property.
