A girl was killed, and her parents sustained minor injuries after a Karachi University bus collided with a motorcycle on Shahrah-e-Faisal in Karachi.
According to police officials, the accident occurred near Awami Markaz, where the bus struck the motorcycle carrying the family. The deceased, identified as Sawera, died at the scene, while her parents suffered minor injuries.
Witnesses said the driver attempted to flee after the accident, but people at the scene chased him, apprehended him and handed him over to the police.
Police officials took the bus into custody and shifted it to the relevant police station.
According to the police, Sawera was travelling to the airport with her parents and was a resident of Chanesar Goth in Mahmoodabad.
Initial findings suggest that the accident took place during an overtaking attempt, although further investigations are under way.
