London: Britain’s King Charles III asked Pakistan’s Interior Minister and PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi about the ongoing Iran war and expressed surprise that the conflict was still continuing.
King Charles met the Pakistan cricket team at Clarence House, his historic London residence, where he interacted with Pakistani players and officials.
Interior Minister and Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the UK Tipu Usman, British High Commissioner to Pakistan Jane Marriott, businessman Asif Rangoonwala and others were also present.
During the meeting, King Charles asked Naqvi about the situation surrounding the Iran war and expressed surprise over the conflict continuing.
Naqvi briefed the King on the situation, describing it as “one step forward and one step back.”
King Charles also extended his best wishes to the Pakistan cricket team and spoke with players about their stay in the UK, London’s weather, their fitness and recent performances.
He also encouraged the players and wished them well for their upcoming matches.
