Islamabad: Minister of State for Petroleum, Mosadiq Malik, has stated that it is possible to bring the first cargo ship of one lakh tons of oil from Russia to Oman by 28th May, from where the oil will be transported to Pakistan through small vessels.
Speaking to the media, Mosadiq Malik said that no port in Pakistan can handle more than 50,000 tons of oil at once, and the cargo coming from Russia will contain one lakh tons of oil. The Pakistani oil is expected to arrive on small vessels in the first or second week of June.
He further added that the import of oil from Russia for Pakistan will lead to a noticeable reduction in prices.
