Islamabad: The National Crime Agency (NCA) has decided to include the wife of the PTI Chairman, Bushra Bibi, as a witness in the £190 million NAB scandal.
According to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Bushra Bibi has been issued a notice not as an accused but as a witness, and therefore, her statement as a witness will be recorded on June 7.
NAB stated that they are bound by the provisions of the NAB Amendment Act to issue notices for the purpose of collecting evidence and have clarified in court that the arrest of Bushra Bibi is not intended.
NAB has also requested documents from Bushra Bibi regarding the Al-Qadir Trust, records of the Trust’s registration, and details of the donations received by the Trust.
It should be noted that three days ago, the Islamabad Accountability Court had rejected the bail application of Bushra Bibi in connection with the £190 million scandal.
On the other hand, NAB had earlier declared Imran Khan’s response in the £190 million scandal unsatisfactory, which is why they may summon him again.
