Lahore: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has arrested 9 dangerous terrorists during an intelligence-based operation. Officials say that the arrested terrorists belong to various illegal organizations.
According to the CTD spokesperson, the operations were conducted in the districts of Multan, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, and Gujranwala.
Authorities state that the arrested terrorists have connections with various banned organizations from which explosives, detonators, ammunition, and cash were recovered.
The CTD officials have disclosed that the apprehended terrorists have been identified as Ateeq, Rashid, Riaz, Sadiq, Shoaib, Raheeq, Zahid, Kashif, and Maqsood. Investigations are underway against them, and 9 cases have been registered.
According to officials, during the ongoing week, 56 suspects were arrested during 284 combined operations, and questioning was conducted with 13,949 individuals during these operations.
