Local courts in Islamabad have acquitted the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Imran Khan, and other leaders in cases related to the Azadi March and violation of Section 144 in Kohsar police station and Karachi Company.
Judicial Magistrate Shahzad Khan has accepted the requests for acquittal in the cases registered in Kohsar police station against the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Sheikh Rasheed, Faisal Javed Khan, Ali Nawaz Awan, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Qasim Suri, Raja Khurram Nawaz, and other accused regarding the Azadi March and violation of Section 144.
On the other hand, Judicial Magistrate Mureed Abbas has also accepted the requests for acquittal in the cases registered at Karachi Company police station against the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Faisal Javed Khan, Ali Nawaz Awan, Saifullah Niazi, Zartaj Gul, Asad Umar, and other accused regarding the Azadi March and violation of Section 144.
In both the cases, arguments were presented on the acquittal pleas by Sardar Gharzi Khan and Amna Ali. The courts had reserved judgment on the cases.
