Plans for seaside outings during the Eid holidays were disrupted as the administration enforced Section 144 in Karachi, imposing a complete ban on bathing in the sea.
The decision was made because of high and dangerous tides to protect citizens from potential harm. According to the official notification, the ban will remain in effect from the start of Eid holidays until June 13.
Authorities have advised citizens to visit the beach for recreation but avoid entering the water, as recent high tides have increased the risk of drowning incidents. This move has dampened the plans of many who were hoping to spend their Eid holidays by the sea.
