President Asif Ali Zardari, in his message to the nation on Police Martyrs Day, paid rich tribute to the brave officers and personnel of Pakistan’s police force. He called their sacrifices a shining chapter in the nation’s history.
The President stated that this day is meant to remember those police officials who gave their lives for the protection of the homeland, the maintenance of peace, and the fight against terrorism and crime. He emphasized that the nation will never forget the sacrifices of its martyrs.
He highlighted that the police have carried out a relentless struggle against terrorism, crime, and disorder. Thousands of courageous police personnel laid down their lives to ensure the safety and security of the nation.
President Zardari reaffirmed the government’s commitment to continue all possible measures for the welfare of the families of the martyrs, in recognition of their ultimate sacrifices.
