The spokesperson for the Karachi mayor, Moazzam Qureshi, stated that political opponents are fearful of Murtaza Wahab’s performance and are resorting to baseless accusations to mislead the public.
In response to statements made by the Pakistan Muslim League (N), Qureshi said that the allegations against the mayor are unfounded and politically motivated. He remarked that the PML-N cannot digest Karachi’s ongoing progress, and those who failed to deliver during their own tenure are now lecturing others on performance.
He added that the mayor is working tirelessly for the city’s development and improvement of civic services, and his initiatives reflect genuine efforts for public welfare.
Qureshi further said that the PML-N’s accusations are merely an unsuccessful attempt to gain political relevance. He questioned what development project the party had completed for Karachi during its tenure.
According to the spokesperson, the city needs practical work, not criticism, and Murtaza Wahab is delivering exactly that. Development projects are underway in every district of Karachi, yet these facts are conveniently ignored by the opposition.
