The Punjab Local Government Department has launched a Customer Relationship Management app in collaboration with NADRA to provide digital registration services to citizens. Provincial Minister for Local Government Zeeshan Rafiq formally inaugurated the e-registration app in Lahore.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, the minister stated that the app will enable online registration of births, deaths, marriages, and divorces, eliminating the need for citizens to visit government offices.
He explained that people will be able to complete registrations from their homes, and once entered, the data will automatically be linked with the NADRA database to ensure accuracy and authenticity.
Zeeshan Rafiq further said that a formal agreement for e-registration had already been signed between the Local Government Department and NADRA. He added that registering births, deaths, marriages, and divorces through this system will help collect accurate data. The system will be integrated down to the union council level across Punjab to ensure uniform access to digital services.
