The trend of online shopping in Pakistan appears to be weakening, according to the latest survey conducted by Gallup and Gallani. The survey reveals that 91 percent of people in the country did not make any online purchases during the past six months.
Among those who did shop online, 60 percent preferred cash on delivery as their payment method, highlighting continued trust issues within the digital commerce system in Pakistan.
The data further shows that clothing was the most purchased item online, accounting for 30 percent of total purchases, while watches ranked second among online shopping items.
The survey also explored broader public preferences and social attitudes. It found that if given the chance to live a day as a famous personality, 49 percent of respondents would choose to be a religious leader or an intellectual.
Additionally, 34 percent of participants stated that trust is the most essential factor in maintaining relationships, reflecting the strong emphasis on trust within Pakistani society.
