Dense fog continues to prevail across several areas of Punjab, significantly reducing visibility and prompting the closure of multiple motorways as a precautionary measure.
According to details, traffic on the M-2 motorway from Thokar Niaz Baig to Harn Minar, the M-3 from Faizpur Interchange to Jaranwala, and the M-4 from Sher Shah to Pindi Bhattian has been suspended. Additionally, the M-4 from Gojra to Multan and the M-5 from Multan to Zahir Pir have also been closed to all traffic.
A spokesperson for the Motorway Police stated that dense fog has enveloped several sections of the National Highway, including Manga Mandi, Pattoki, Okara, Sahiwal, Chichawatni, and Mian Channu, creating hazardous driving conditions.
The foggy conditions are also persisting in Khanewal, Multan, Basti Malook, Lodhran, Bahawalpur, Ahmedpur Sharqia, Rahim Yar Khan, and Sadiqabad, affecting routine traffic flow and visibility.
The Motorway Police have advised citizens to avoid unnecessary travel and to exercise extreme caution if traveling becomes unavoidable.
