Punjab Traffic Police has announced extended working hours for driving license centers in major cities to facilitate citizens and reduce congestion at service points.
According to the report, driving license centers in major cities, including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Multan, and Sialko,t will now operate round the clock, while centers in smaller cities will provide services from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 midnight.
A spokesperson for Punjab Traffic Police clarified that applicants must first obtain a learner’s license, which can be acquired online or from the nearest license center. After that, candidates will be eligible to apply for a regular driving license.
The spokesperson added that once the driving test is successfully passed, applicants will immediately receive an e-driving license, which holds the same legal status as a traditional card license.
Punjab Traffic Police has urged citizens to always carry a valid and legal driving license while driving. Officials stated that the extended working hours will provide convenience to the public and significantly reduce overcrowding at license centers.
