Prime Minister’s Adviser Rana Sanaullah has said that the claim that no political space has been left for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is incorrect. He stated that the government has repeatedly attempted to open channels for dialogue, but PTI has chosen confrontation over constructive engagement.
Speaking on a private television program, Rana Sanaullah said that the Prime Minister made four attempts to initiate negotiations, yet PTI continued to pursue a path based on rebellion, disorder, and the elimination of political opponents. He added that a particular group remains determined to spread chaos and anarchy, warning that when the law is taken into one’s own hands, the state will respond through legal means.
He further emphasized that if the nature of a political struggle changes, the state’s preparedness will also adapt accordingly, as maintaining law and order remains a constitutional responsibility.
Meanwhile, during the same program, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Special Assistant Shafee Jan announced that a wheel-jam and shutter-down strike has been planned for February 8, alongside preparations for a street movement. He said the responsibility of leading the movement has been assigned to Mahmood Khan Achakzai, adding that millions would respond whenever a protest call is issued.
Shafee Jan claimed that this time the protests would be more organized and carried to the next level.
