Karachi: The city remains under the grip of cold weather, with temperatures dropping into single digits, causing residents to feel a noticeable chill.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the weather in Karachi is expected to remain dry over the next 24 hours, while cold conditions will persist during nighttime. The department reported that the city’s minimum temperature was recorded at 9.5 degrees Celsius, with expectations that it may range between 8 and 10 degrees Celsius in the coming days.
The Met Office said the maximum temperature in the city is likely to remain between 24 and 26 degrees Celsius. Humidity levels have been recorded at 58 percent, while winds from the northeast may continue to blow, adding to the cold sensation.
According to the department, the lowest nighttime temperature was recorded at 7.9 degrees Celsius at Jinnah Terminal. Other areas reported varying temperatures, including 10.5 degrees in Gulistan-e-Johar, 11.5 degrees on Shahrah-e-Faisal, 11 degrees in Bin Qasim, and 12.5 degrees in Mauripur.
The Meteorological Department has advised citizens to take precautionary measures against the cold, particularly during nighttime and early morning hours.
