The District and Sessions Court in Islamabad has issued a detailed written order approving the bail of the PTI founder and Bushra Bibi in the Toshakhana fake receipts case.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka issued the written decision regarding six bail applications filed by the PTI founder and one by Bushra Bibi. The court stated that the prosecution failed to present any concrete evidence against the PTI founder and Bushra Bibi to prove that they had incited rebellion.
The written verdict further noted that the prosecution could not establish that the protests were held at the direction of the PTI founder or that he was present at the scene during the incidents. The court also observed that in the May 9 protest cases and attempted murder charges, the prosecution failed to produce admissible evidence supporting the allegations.
According to the order, bail was also granted to the PTI founder in a separate case related to allegations against high-profile personalities. The court approved bail for both accused against surety bonds of fifty thousand rupees each.
