Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has extended greetings to the Hindu community on the occasion of Holi, saying that the traditions of the festival reflect Pakistan’s rich cultural diversity and social harmony. He said the festival of colors spreads messages of joy, love, and brotherhood within society.
In his special message, the prime minister stated that the Hindu community is a valued and respected part of Pakistani society and continues to play an important role in the country’s development and prosperity. He also conveyed his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the Hindu citizens of Pakistan.
Shehbaz Sharif said that the Hindu community has consistently contributed positively to social harmony, economic progress, and peaceful coexistence, which the government deeply appreciates.
He added that the Constitution of Pakistan guarantees religious freedom and fundamental human rights to all citizens without discrimination based on race, religion, or belief, and the government remains committed to protecting the constitutional rights of all minorities.
The prime minister also emphasized the need to promote interfaith dialogue, ensure the protection of places of worship, and strengthen a culture of mutual respect to maintain harmony and peace in society. He called for collective efforts based on tolerance, compassion, and unity to build a peaceful, inclusive, and prosperous future.
