Catholic Christian leader Pope Leo has strongly condemned the use of religion to justify war, stating that the prayers of those who engage in war are not accepted by God.
Addressing a Palm Sunday prayer gathering at St. Peter’s Square, Pope Leo said that using religion as a justification for war is a dangerous trend that cannot be allowed under any circumstances.
During his speech, he also called on all parties to immediately implement a ceasefire and begin negotiations to prevent further loss of human lives and pave the way for peace.

Reports also indicate that U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth described the Iran conflict as an effort by Christians to defeat their enemies, further reinforcing this narrative.
