US President Donald Trump has issued a strong warning to Iran, stating that the United States could completely destroy Iran in a single night, and such action could even take place on Tuesday.
Speaking to reporters, Trump said the US has options against Iran that go far beyond targeting power plants and bridges, indicating the possibility of a much broader and more severe military response.
He warned that if Iran does not agree to a deal or reopen the Strait of Hormuz, its infrastructure could be targeted, leading to serious consequences.
Earlier, Trump had also issued a strong message on his social media platform, stating that Tuesday could be a decisive day for Iran’s power plants and bridges, and mentioned a deadline of 8 PM Eastern Time for potential action.
Commenting on the proposed 45-day ceasefire, he said it is an important development but not yet acceptable, while Iranian officials have rejected the proposal and demanded a permanent ceasefire.
Trump also claimed that the Iranian public may rise against their government if given the opportunity, adding that people in Iran seek change and freedom.
He further expressed interest in taking control of Iranian oil but said he is uncertain whether the American public would support such a move.
