Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has signed a new law banning Sharia law and certain foreign and religious legal systems that conflict with constitutional rights in the state.
According to details, the governor approved House Bill 1471, which aims to ensure constitutional supremacy and prevent the implementation of any parallel legal systems that contradict the US Constitution.
The law also includes measures to counter active terrorist groups in Florida, with the goal of enhancing public safety and strengthening security.
Ron DeSantis stated that the state must operate under the rule of law and that the Constitution should remain the sole legal framework.
He further emphasized the need to protect state institutions and the education system from individuals who seek to cause harm or disrupt the system.
