Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has described Pakistan’s effective and responsible role in efforts to stop the conflict as commendable, stating that Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts have played an important part in promoting peace in the region.
In his statement, the Iranian President said that Iran seeks peace, stability, and brotherly relations in the region, but clarified that due to past broken promises, the Iranian people do not trust the United States, and stressed that the rights of the Iranian nation must be upheld under international laws and principles.
Masoud Pezeshkian stated that the United States will not emerge as a victor in this conflict, as the ongoing tensions could result in serious consequences not only for regional countries but also for the wider world.
He further said that the Zionist regime is pursuing its objectives, but expressed hope that unity among the Muslim Ummah would prevent these ambitions from being realized.
The Iranian President also emphasized that regional security should be ensured by the countries of the region themselves, highlighting the importance of mutual cooperation and a collective strategy.
