A gas pipeline explosion in the Hattar Industrial Estate of Haripur led to a sudden fire, resulting in the deaths of eight people, while several others were reported injured.
According to DPO Haripur Shafiullah Gandapur, eight individuals were also injured in the tragic incident, and both the deceased and injured belong to the same family, highlighting the severity of the event.
He stated that the fire erupted due to the bursting of a gas pipeline in the industrial area, after which fire brigade teams from five districts were called in and took part in the firefighting operation.
The DPO added that the police also assisted rescue teams and fire brigade personnel in relief operations and ensured that the injured were provided immediate medical assistance.
Shafiullah Gandapur further informed that five bodies were shifted to Kot Najibullah Hospital, while three bodies are currently at the trauma center where necessary procedures are underway.
