Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in Antalya, Turkey, as part of the third phase of his peace mission, where he is expected to engage in key diplomatic activities and strengthen ties with global leaders.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, Antalya Governor Hulusi Sahin warmly received the Prime Minister and the Pakistani delegation at the airport, with Pakistan’s Ambassador to Turkey Yusuf Junaid and other senior diplomatic officials also present on the occasion.
The Prime Minister will attend the fifth Antalya Diplomacy Forum, where he is scheduled to participate in the “Leaders Panel” and present Pakistan’s perspective on regional and global issues.
On the sidelines of the forum, meetings are expected between the Prime Minister and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, along with other prominent world leaders, to discuss bilateral cooperation and regional matters.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar; Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar; Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi; and the Prime Minister’s spokesperson for international media Musharraf Zaidi are accompanying him as part of the delegation.
Earlier, during his visit to Qatar, the Prime Minister met Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and discussed the evolving situation in the Gulf, emphasizing the importance of dialogue and de-escalation for peace and stability.
The Prime Minister also condemned recent attacks on Qatar and other Gulf countries and stressed the need for collective efforts to ensure regional peace.
It is worth noting that in the first phase of the peace mission, the prime minister met Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Jeddah, where he briefed him on developments related to the US-Iran ceasefire and Islamabad talks while reaffirming Pakistan’s full support and solidarity with Saudi Arabia.
On this occasion, the Saudi Crown Prince appreciated the constructive role of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir in the peace process.
