Attock: Attock Refinery Limited has seen the lifting of restrictions on the movement of crude oil tankers, after which fuel supply has resumed and the situation has begun to stabilize.
With the removal of the ban, the risk of fuel shortages in the northern regions of the country has been averted, while refinery officials have expressed hope that production will soon be fully restored to meet demand.
Earlier, the lack of crude oil supply had raised concerns over a possible shutdown of the Attock Refinery, which also led to fears of a shortage of jet fuel, making the situation increasingly critical.
Refinery officials had warned that if traffic restrictions were not lifted immediately, the refinery could be forced to shut down, potentially causing a severe shortage of jet fuel at Islamabad International Airport and Bacha Khan International Airport.
