United States: US Department of the Treasury has imposed new sanctions on companies and individuals involved in supplying weapons to Iran, aiming to curb Iran’s arms network.
According to the Treasury Department, 14 individuals and companies have been added to the sanctions list for their alleged involvement in providing defense-related equipment to Iran.
In an official statement, the department said that the sanctions are intended to target Iran’s weapons network in order to restrict its activities and help maintain regional stability.
The US Treasury further stated that the targets of the sanctions also include Iranian aircraft, while related elements operating in Iran, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates have also been brought under these measures.
