Islamabad: Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Esmail Baghaei has denied any plans for a meeting between Iran and the United States in Pakistan.
In a statement shared on social media, he said that he has arrived in Islamabad on an official visit along with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi for key diplomatic engagements.
He stated that meetings will be held with senior Pakistani officials during the visit, where discussions will take place on Pakistan’s ongoing mediation efforts and the regional situation.
Baghaei clarified that issues related to ending what he described as an imposed aggressive war by the United States and restoring peace in the region will also be discussed.
