Europe: European Union has indicated a possible easing of economic sanctions imposed on Iran, marking a significant diplomatic development amid the current regional situation.
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz stated that sanctions on Iran could be relaxed if the country agrees to a deal, in an effort to reduce tensions and advance negotiations.
During a recent EU meeting, no member state opposed the idea of easing sanctions, suggesting a growing consensus on the matter.
Additionally, the German Chancellor ruled out the possibility of Ukraine’s immediate accession to the European Union, stating that while immediate membership is not feasible, a structured process for Ukraine’s inclusion has been proposed and is under consideration.
