The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of intense heat across Sindh, indicating that a heatwave situation may develop in the coming days, with temperatures expected to rise significantly in several regions.
According to the department, most districts of the province are likely to experience hot, very hot, and dry weather conditions today, with a further increase in temperature expected during daytime hours, potentially causing discomfort for residents.
The department further stated that from today until May 3, heatwave conditions are likely to affect central and upper parts of Sindh, where temperatures in Jamshoro, Dadu, and Shaheed Benazirabad may remain 4 to 6 degrees Celsius above normal.
Similarly, Ghotki and Sanghar are also expected to witness temperatures 4 to 6 degrees above normal, while Khairpur, Naushahro Feroze, Jacobabad, Larkana, and Sukkur are likely to remain under the influence of the heatwave, which may impact daily life activities.
