The federal government has announced a five-day public holiday on the occasion of Eid ul Fitr across the country. The Eid ul Fitr holidays in the country will begin from Friday, April 21 and continue till Tuesday, April 25. The Ministry of Interior has also issued a notification regarding the Eid holidays.
It should be noted that there is a possibility of completing the entire thirty-day fasting of Ramadan in the country next year, as astronomers and the moon sighting research council have predicted that the moon of Shawwal is expected to be visible on the evening of April 21.
Khalid Ejaz Mufti, Secretary-General of the Moon Sighting Research Council, had earlier stated that it would not be possible to see the moon on Thursday, April 20, and it is expected that the Eid ul Fitr will be celebrated on Sunday, April 23, 2023, after completing thirty days of fasting.
