Pakistan and New Zealand are set to play their first T20 match in Lahore today. The teams of Pakistan and New Zealand underwent a three-hour training session at Gaddafi Stadium to prepare for the first T20 match.
The players practiced batting, bowling, and fielding under the supervision of their respective coaches. The T20 series trophy unveiling ceremony was held at Gaddafi Stadium, and Pakistani captain Babar Azam and Kiwi captain Tom Latham were present at the occasion.
Captain Babar Azam said that they will not take the Kiwis as an easy opponent and instead will come out with their full strength. He further added that they will play with the full squad instead of experimenting with new players.
New Zealand captain Tom Latham said that playing against Pakistan’s strong team will be a challenge. The T20 series between both teams, consisting of five matches, begins today. The first match will be played at Gaddafi Stadium at 9 pm.
The second and third matches of the series will also be played at Gaddafi Stadium on April 15 and 17, while the fourth and fifth T20 matches will be played in Rawalpindi on April 20 and 24.
